- DESCRIPTION: The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply contract to be negotiated on a 100% small business set-aside basis for a Mobile Decontamination Trailer that complies with OSHA Regulations and Navy Instructions. Trailer to be used in the dry dock to abate lead, cadmium and arsenic dispersion and cross contamination hazards in support of Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Silverdale, WA 98315. The Contractor shall provide a Mobile Decontamination Trailer with a service life of 15 to 20 years and be constructed of highest industry standards such as the use of zinc galvanized steel frame and steel framing materials. The Decontamination Trailer must comply with the Hygiene requirements of the OSHA General Industry Lead Standard contained in 29 CFR 1910.1025(1), the OSHA General Industry Inorganic Arsenic Standard contained in CRF 1910.1018(m), and the OSHA General Industry Cadmium Standard contained in 29 CFR 1910.1027(j). The Decontamination Trailer will be built with separate facilities for men and women with forced air ventilation system with HEPA filters, floor mounted bench, emergency clothing bag chute, lockable steel doors, energy efficient fluorescent lighting and hand/equipment stainless sink for the Dirty Room. Shower room will have one private women?s shower and one private men?s shower, germicidal floor mat, chrome floor drain, anti-slip shower room floor, air lock exit doors and liquid body soap dispensers. Place of performance is Navy Region Northwest, Silverdale, WA 98315. Delivery is required to be within 45 days after contract award. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 17 March 2005 with a closing date of 31 march 2005. Proposed contract will be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition procedures in accordance with Far Part 12 and 13.5. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under ?Business Opportunities? under solicitation number ?N00406-05-t-0941?. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror?s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site.
