- NAICS Code: 33661 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a requirement for the acquisition and installation of a new 200 HP outboard motor for the 21' Parker research vessel and a new 115 HP outboard motor for the 17' Parker. The Ecosystem Assessment Branch of the Gulf Ecology Division, located in Gulf Breeze, FL, needs new engines to replace currently aging and unreliable systems. The engines are mounted directly on the transom of each vessel and must be compliant with 2006 EPA emission requirements. The vessels are used for the collection of environmental samples and data in the open water of estuaries. The contract will be fixed price. NAICS Code 33661 applies with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Request for Quote (RFQ) is expected to be issued approximately fifteen days after the date this notice is posted. Quotes will be due approximately 15 calendar days after issuance of the RFQ. This quote will be awarded as a result of a competitive small business set-aside simplified acquisition. The RFQ and amendments will be available via the Internet http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd. It will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the solicitation is posted for any amendments. Please note that drawings/specifications will be available prior to the solicitation being issued via the internet http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd. Telephone and fax request will not be honored. All responsible sources may submit a RFQ which shall be considered by the Agency.
