- Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to negotiate on an emergency, sole source basis with Verizon Federal, Inc. all or none basis, to procure, EADS, LAMarche, and Rad hardware, software, licenses, installation and implementation, of voice equipment for the new Marshall Space Flight Center Bldg 4600, Huntsville, AL. This requirement must be delivered/installed/implemented and accepted not later than August 5, 2005. This new equipment must be compatible with the rest of the network. Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to purchase these 40 items from Verizon Federal, Inc pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-1, which allows for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. Interested firms have until March 18, 2005 4:00 PM CDT to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, the attached Request for Proposal, and all associated paper work per the special instructions. Responses received after March 18, 2005 4:00 PM CDT without the required information will be considered non responsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Arcata Associates, Inc. to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Arcata Associates, Inc. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested per the attached Request for Proposal (RFP), and includes complete description and part numbers, Reps/Certs, and Terms and Conditions. All sections must be completed in order for consideration. Special Instructions criteria must be met. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers. For subscribers to the WWW who wish to obtain the relevant documents covering this synopsis, please access said information at http://procurement.nasa.gov as no hardcopy will be provided by this office. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. All responsible sources may submit an offer by the required date which shall be considered by Arcata Associates, Inc.
