- Description
- National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to negotiate an award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 with GiziMap, 1-24 Budapest Bogar u. 6. Hungary. GiziMap will provide unlimited copyright permission to NGA. This requirement will allow NGA to provide geospatial data to our military customers and to other government entities if necessary. This data will augment NGA?s current sources, thus providing a valuable resource to customers. The purpose for requesting permission to use this copyright is due to the fact that the limited copyright permission (previously for 25,000 Iraqi roadmaps), has expired. The description of the supplies or services necessary to meet NGA?s requirement are the following: the NGA Office of Central and Southwest Asia is supporting the nation?s critical geospatial intelligence requirements for their region in support of the Global War on Terror (GWOT). This contract will provide copyright permission to reproduce an unlimited quantity of Iraq Roadmaps produced by GiziMap and modified by the Military Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA). The contract will allow for an exclusive, government-only license. Maps provide an invaluable tool for supporting continued military operations in Iraq. The maps will enable the military to facilitate better interoperability between the forces and provide an additional resource to aid troops in the GWOT. The fact that the maps provided by GiziMap are an existing product (COTS) will expedite the distribution to military personnel. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available. Vendors who believe they have this capability should respond by 21 March 2005. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. Award is anticipated 15 days after publication of this notice.
