Description

The Air Force Flight Test Center, Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base California, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Herley Industries, Inc. This acquisition is for: (1) Test Set, Radar Simulator Model: 616C-16 equipment that is used to perform pre-flight operational tests on aircraft-mounted G/C-Band Radar Transponders. This item is a replacement for an identical piece of equipment. This item is the only known one that meets the unique and specific performance and portability specifications required by our mission. This is the only known Radar Simulator that has the necessary portability, the zero beat function needed to verify Radar Transponder output frequency, the ability to run off D/C power, and required output power level to make measurements while the transponder is on the aircraft. The different Ranges vary in their mission functions. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334515 and the size standard is 500 employees.
