Description

(1) The purpose of this notice is to announce that the APKWS RFI will be available on 31 Mar 05. The Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space desires information which will serve as a market survey and to assist in defining requirements to be included in a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP). (2) The Government desires approaches that are a result of Cost As an Independent Variable (CAIV) trade-off analyses. The RFI will include a system description, draft Statement of Objectives, and a draft schedule. The APKWS includes a missile (All-up-round), smart launcher, and a shipping and storage container for each. (3) The RFI will be available 31 Mar 05 with responses due on 29 Apr 05. It is the Governments intent to have an Industry Day in L ate May 05 followed by the release of the formal RFP for the objective system in August 05.
