Description

The purpose of this modification is to change the set-aside for this solicitation from Total Small Business, to unrestricted (N/A). Except as changed all other terms and conditions remain unchanged. This project consist of repairing a landslide on the fill side of an aggregate Forest Road, improving drainage and reconditioning of roadway portion at specified site on plans. An existing concrete culvert will be extended, the fill slope will be cleared, excavated, backfilled, reshaped, seeded and mulched, a new metal pipe and other drainage structures will be installed and other miscellaneous work as shown on the plans and listed in the specifications. The project site is located on FSR 500, within the National Forests in Alabama ? Talladega National Forest approximately 5 miles west of County Road 49 and 11 miles East of State Highway 9; vicinity map provided. The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities necessary to perform the required work in accordance with the specifications, drawings and maps for this contract. This is a firm-fixed price contract. The performance period is 30 calendar days. NAICS code is 237110 with a size standard of $28.5 million. All vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. The preferred method for completing registration is via the World Wide Web at http://www.ccr.gov/. A handbook and other information are available at the site, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process. Solicitation package will be posted and available to download on http://fedbizopps.gov at the approximate date of March 30, 2005. The scheduled date for the Pre-Bid/Site Visit will be included in the solicitation. (AAP# 5128)
