Description
The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (IHS), Division of Contracts & Grants Mgmt. intends to award a Sole Source Simplified Acquisition to the University of Texas (UT) at Austin, Jackson School of Geoscience, J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Rd., Austin, Tx. The UT, in collaboration with the New Mexico Bureau of Geology & Mineral Resources will perform assessment of the availability of alternative groundwater supplies that meet arsenic levels less than the maximum contaminant level for public water systems on six Indian Reservations in New Mexico. The period of performance shall be approx. 9 months, to start immediately and complete by December 31, 2005. The Contractor has the necessary diverse expertise required, depth of knowledge and a large repository of academic resources about arsenic containing groundwater sources to conduct and achieve the objective. This Sole Source acquisition is in accordance with authority under FAR Part 6.302-1. This is not a request for proposals, no solicitation is available.
