Description
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, (AHRQ), through the Division of Acquisition Management (DAM), Program Support Center(PSC), plans to award a sole source contract using simplified acquisition procedures, to The Health Strategies Consultancy, 1350 Connecticut Ave., N.W., Suite 900, Washington, DC 20036. The anticipated date April 5, 2005. To purchase a formal interview guide, a targeted policy paper that describes the Health Information Technology Initiatives within state Medicaid programs. The contractor shall conduct an environmental scan (through literature reviews, web-based research and interviews with state-focused organizations) to identify those states working to integrate new HIT initiatives. We will develop a formal protocol to conduct interviews with these select states as well as those states identified as AHRQ grantee recipients. Additionally, The contractor shall speak with select Federal policymakers to further examine the policy implications of these HIT initiatives at both the state and Federal level. The contractor shall prepare the following set of deliverables for this project: formal interview guide; targeted policy paper that describes these HIT initiatives within state Medicaid programs and also those that potentially target state residents more broadly; and set of source documents including useful articles and resources. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
