Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued separately. The solicitation number is FA5000-05-T-0007 and is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated FAR provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27 and Class Deviation 2005-o0001. The DFARS provisions and clauses are those in effect to DCN 20050222. Elmendorf AFB has a requirement to lease 1 Digger Derrick Truck from 1 April 05 through 30 September 05. The contractor shall furnish the digger derrick truck with the following specifications and deliver to Elmendorf AFB, FOB Destination on or before 1 April 05: A. At least 47? sheave height B. Rear mount hydraulic derrick C. 12000-pound bare drum capacity turntable winch or 15000-pound self-locking, high torque worm gear winch equipped with oil-cooled brake with provisions on drum for attaching wire or polypropylene rope D. Flared boom tip with provisions for platform attachments E. All major load-bearing pivot point pins will be plated; all pivot points will be line bored or reamed and have pin keepers F. Lift cylinder equipped with self-aligning bearings G. Proportional hydraulic control system H. Holding valves and pilot-operated check valves on outrigger cylinders I. Manual override of hydraulic function J. Full capacity fiberglass upper boom hydraulically extended with flared steel boom tip, structurally capable of lifting to rated hydraulic capacity of the derrick in any given position while maintaining structural safety factor K. Cable guides installed on top of boom with turntable winch L. Overload, side load and boom stow protection M. Two-part load line attachment on intermediate boom N. Engine start/stop switch at the control panel O. Current dielectric and load testing certificates for boom The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial (January 2005), applies to this acquisition.
