- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to seeking information regarding the current level of technology and capability of the commercial sector to provide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) in a military environment and discuss the strategy for the upcoming procurement of Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the E-6B, by the Naval Air Systems Command. No aircraft maintenance will be required. Sources are being sought to provide support in an Organization to Depot (O to D) maintenance environment, and will encompass CLS Program Management, Repair of Repairables, Supply Support, Support Equipment (SE) to include Maintenance and Training, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T), as well as metrics data collection, management, and reporting. No engineering or aircraft maintenance support will be required. The Navy is providing the following information for industry consideration and comment: (1) CLS brief containing revised strategy; (2) CLS inventory (Repairables and Consumables); and (3) CLS questionnaire. The CLS inventory is provided for information purposes only, and does represent the ?core? or ?exclusion? lists discussed in the CLS brief. This presolicitation announcement is not a contract, or a request for proposal, or a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by any offeror for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data related any data offered for examination; therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
