Description
This notice is for two (2) Aircraft Maintenance Stands made of composite materials for evaluation against current metal maintenance stands to include travel and training and support. All items within this prospective acquisition: Must already be developed (including drawings, forms, molds, dies, etc), must be used for this evaluation without modification, must not require the generation of new software, or modification of the same, and must not require the integration of commercial subassemblies to make the finished item. Assembly, the putting together of manufactured parts to make a completed product, is acceptable. Integration, assembly requiring the design and manufacture of common interface not existing prior, is not acceptable. Specifications: 1) Retain a color approximately matching MIL STD 595 color No. 24052(green). 2) Use of non-composite structural components shall be minimized to less than 25% of total stand. 3) Platform height range adjustable from 36" to 144" 4) Platform with a working area of approx. 46" x 78" 5) 36" wide, railed steps if stand is a stair type configuration. 6) Telescoping and railed ladder steps if stand is scissor type configuration. 7) 1200lb load capacity on raised platform. 8) 1100lb total unit weight. 9) Simple hydraulic elevation mechanism. 10) Able to withstand the rigors of towing and use in an all-weather flightline environment. 11) Non-slip work surface. 12) Removeable rails with kick-plates on all sides of working platform. When configured for shipping, the CMS shall be able to stack two high. The composite maintenance stands must meet the combined specifications of the current B-1, B-4 and B-5 maintenance stands. Any prospective offerer must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The intent of this proposed acquisition is to solicit as total small business(SB). All SB that are interested, provide notification of interest, in writing, within seven (7) business days. If there is insufficient interest by SB, then this proposed acquisition will be solicited as unrestricted without further notice.
