49th CONTRACTING SQUADRONHolloman AFB, NM COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR: COMPRESS GAS TUBE ON HELIUM TRAILERS RETEST AND REFURBISHMENT FA4801-05-T-0215 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes a combined Synopsis/Solicitation. GENERAL INFORMATION Solicitation Number: F2ETRL5062A100 Request for Quotation (RFQ) 1 Request for Proposal (RFP) 0 Invitation for Bid (IFB) 0 This solicitation and the incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-01. This acquisition is set-aside for small business. North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS): 423110 Size Standard: 500 Employees SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED: CLIN #0001 - HYDROSTAT HELIUM TRAILER RETEST. Regulation # 89L1096 (7 TUBES). 1 EACH - SEE STATEMENT OF WORK. CLIN #0002 - HYDROSTAT HELIUM TRAILER RETEST. Regulation # 59L1156 (38 TUBES). 1 EACH - SEE STATEMENT OF WORK. STATEMENT OF WORK: 1. Disassemble unit by removing all valves, safeties, manifold and tubes from chassis. 2. Grit blast chassis. 3. Refurbish chassis by inspecting and repairing air and lighting systems. Repair all sheet metal as necessary. Inspect and repair undercarriage system. 4. Hydrostatic test each cylinder in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT); Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations; paragraph 173.34(e). 5. Grit blast each cylinder. 6. Prime and paint each cylinder and chassis in accordance with customer requirements. 7. Install all valves, safeties and manifold. 8. Perform leak pressure test to trailer working pressure using dry nitrogen. 9. Ship trailer to customer with a positive pressure of 20-PSI dry nitrogen. 10. Install all applicable placarding in accordance with DOT.
