Description

The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in conjunction with the Missile Defense Agency Advanced Systems Directorate desires to award a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Orincon Defense. This action will sustain and enhance the target a cquisition and discrimination functions of future BMDS. The effort to be performed under this contract is in direct support of Advanced Systems target acquisition and tracking algorithm development. This work will apply a proprietary numerical approach to increasing the spatial resolution of radar and ele ctro-optic sensors. This numerical approach is termed the Harmonic Structure Function, and the algorithms de-convolve the harmonic structures of multiple objects in a single beam or pixel of a radar or EO/IR sensor. Inputs are EO/IR and RADAR sensor data transformed from time series data to frequency spectral data and power spectral densities. Outputs are object features that feed the Decision Architecture. This is a relatively short-term effort that applies work completed under Phase I and Phase II MDA Small Business Innovation Research contracts. Note 22
