Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-G-0009 and a modification to contract N00019-04-C-0014 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 62166-0516, to provide the design and development for the retrofit and production incorporation of a cockpit pressure warning system for the F/A-18 A through D and E/F Model aircraft in accordance with Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6217. The cockpit pressure warning system will provide an audible tone in the Intercommunication System (ICS) and a visual indication on the caution light indicator panel in the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft, and is the only known firm possessing adequate existing knowledge, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment to provide the engineering support required to perform the required effort. Any interested party must have the approved facility(ies) and personnel clearances necessary and also demonstrate its ability to obtain any required clearances in time to meet the schedule requirements. Any respondent must also submit a Statement of Qualifications to demonstrate their ability to perform to the Government?s needs within the required response time.
