The Office of Naval Research (ONR), Arlington, VA, will conduct a workshop to discuss a Beachable High Speed Sea Base Connector, or T-Craft concept as a potential future program in support of ONR?s overall seabasing strategic investment plan. The objective of this workshop will be to present desired performance and operational goals, potential envisioned concepts, and to request industry input regarding an effective acquisition approach, risk reduction/mitigation, technology insertion, and other related issues. The anticipated goal of a future T-Craft program would be to contract for the design, production and demonstration testing of a large-scale prototype. The workshop will start at 8 A.M. Central Time on 28 April 2005 at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC PC) in building 308 (Long Glass) of the Naval Support Activity, Panama City. The tentative agenda for the meeting includes a presentation providing: introduction of the background and objectives of the ONR seabasing science and technology strategic plan, an overview of the Navy?s Seabasing concept, and the expectations for the role of a Beachable High Speed Craft. The NSA-PC Visitor Reception Center opens at 6:30 AM and attendees are cautioned to allow sufficient time to obtain a visitor badge and vehicle pass at the Visitor Reception Center located at the main gate on Thomas Drive. In order to facilitate the processing time, attendees are required to submit a Visitor Request/Visitor Clearance Data form, provided as a link to this announcement no later than 14 April 2005. The form is to be faxed to ATTN: Joe Farmer at (850) 235-5443. Following a lunch ! break, a question and answer session will be conducted. The workshop will conclude after the question and answer session, which is expected to end no later than 5:30 P.M. A tour of a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) at the Naval Support Activity, Panama City will be offered on 29 April 2005, weather and craft schedule permitting. Information on the LCAC tour regarding time and location shall be provided at the workshop. All briefings and any discussions will be unclassified. To facilitate meeting planning, each company/entity attending the workshop is required to submit (on company letterhead) a list of all planned attendees. The maximum number of attendees per company/entity is five persons. The document shall provide, as a minimum, the following information for each planned attendee: Full Name of Attendee; Job Position Title; Country of Citizenship; Will Attend LCAC tour at NSWC-PC on 29 April: Yes or No, and a point of contact with telephone number and email addre! ss in case there are any questions related to the submission. Submission of the list by mail or facsimile is acceptable and must be received no later than 3 P.M. Central Time, 14 April 2005. No substitutions or additions will be allowed after this date and time. Facsimile submissions may be sent to (850) 235-5443 and must be marked ATTN: Joe Farmer. Mailed submissions should be addressed as follows: Commanding Officer, Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, 110 Vernon Avenue Panama City, FL 32407-7001 ATTN: E32/Joe Farmer.
