- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis will serve as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) PBGC01-RQ-05-0050 which seeks written quotations for maintenance services outlined herein. Quotes may be submitted on vendor's letterhead stationary and may be mailed to Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, Procurement Department, 1200 K Street, NW, Suite 1090, Washington, DC 20005 or e-mail to Dyson.Jeannie@PBGC.gov. Quotations will be accepted until 3:00 pm EST April 4, 2005. The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. A completed copy of provision 52.212-3 shall be submitted with quotation to be considered for award. Copies of the above provisions/clauses are available at www.arnet.gov/far. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is a fully competed procurement. The terms of this agreement shall be from May 1, 2005 to April 30, 2006 with two (2) one-year option periods. Pricing shall be identified by breaking down per item for base year, option years and total cost per year. Site visits are available upon request, contact Jeannie Dyson 202/326-4160 ext. 3327 to schedule an appointment. The bulk of the equipment is located at 1200 K Street NW in Washington DC. There are also air conditioning units located at 1275 K Street and 1225 1 Street in Washington DC., and in Kingstowne, Virginia. The Contractor shall provide environmental equipment preventive maintenance and repairs. Equipment includes computer room air conditioners, LAN room in-ceiling air conditioners, power distribution units pre-action fire detection system with annunciation panels, smoke detectors (ceiling and floor), under floor water detectors, a SuperChanger and water pumps. Contract includes periodic complete preventive maintenance, repair service on a 24X 7 basis, with a minimum 4 hour on-site response time. Contract includes all parts and labor for covered preventive maintenance and repair. Contractor will provide preventive maintenance check-lists for all equipment covered in this contract. Contractor will identify any non-covered parts or services, if any, and provide hourly rates for repair of any such parts or services. Repair and maintenance services of the fire detection system will include programming changes as necessary or requested. Cleaning of the superchanger (bi-annual) must occur between February and March during the years of 2006 and 2008. These dates may be adjusted slightly at the discretion of the PBGC.
