The following is in response to additional questions posed since the pre-quote conference: Questions: In the amendment to the solicitation &question regarding permits, authorities and franchises... the question is & if a company does not possess the necessary permits may be partner with a larger company that has the permits and approvals. Your answer says he may do this. Answer: The acquisition is set aside for a small business concern. The successful contractor who is considered the prime contractor, is responsible for all documents required by the terms and conditions of the contract. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: The information& SubCLIN 0001AA is incorrect. We ask you to revise the [quantity] figures in the solicitation and make a new submission date for bids. Answer: At this point in time, the figures are considered estimates only. The date of receipt of quote of March 22, 2005 remains unchanged. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: Will the fuel surcharge as approved& by the fuel board&be allowed&? Answer: Yes. The updated Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) Fuel-Related Rate Adjustment Policy (TR-12), and its Fuel-Related Rate Adjustment Table, will be incorporated in the contract(s) by modification(s). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: &Page 4 [of the amendment of the solicitation] &regarding teaming arrangements. ..New Jersey is one of the services areas & the June 7, 2004 ruling & pertains to Public Movers and Warehousemen... (New Jersey Register, Volume 36, Number 11, NJ Reg 2762 (c )) In furtherance to this issue N.J.S.A. 13:44D-4.7 specifically addresses this issue of subcontracting, teaming, and other terminology referencing the same issue. The successful contractor is responsible for all documents required by the terms and conditions of the contract. There will be no subcontracting plan applicable to this solicitation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: [Will] a secondary and tertiary&award be made [for identical services]? Answer: No. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: With regard to my question about CLIN 0007AB (storage-local moves), I do not believe that you have answered the question about the delivery from storage. Your response only addresses the way storage is to be charged, it says nothing about a cha rge to redeliver the shipment to the member when his residence is available. Answer: Services required under Schedule III are as stated in CLIN 0007 and its subCLINs. These CLINS are all inclusive. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: Your response regarding the storage period says that each period is 8 days. Does that mean a shipment in storage for a total of 12 days would be billed for 2 storage periods? Answer: Maximum is 8 days. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (21-MAR-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
