- Description
- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has a requirement for Modular Potable Water Manufacturing Systems. These systems must be capable of producing 100gpm of potable water. They must employ multiple stages of filtration both through synthetic media and ultraviolet disinfection systems as well as reverse osmosis synthetic media micro filtration to provide a fully non-chemical treatment of water from multiple sources. Multi-Catalyst and ion exchange technology blend. Must be EPA registered Bacteriostatic formulation only. Must have the ability to filter out contaminants in instances of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) (i.e. anthrax, radon). The product of these systems must meet all federal, state and local standards for potable water. These systems must be fully enclosed and containerized. These systems must be mounted on wheels for portability. FEMA intends to purchase these items using FAR Subpart 13.5. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 5:00 PM local time on April 6th, 2005. Any response must show the ability to provide a system that meets all of the listed requirements. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion for the Government. Oral Communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency.
