Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach, intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item procurement with the California Survey Research Service, 15350 Sherman Way Suite 480 Van Nuys, CA 91406 to allow VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System Los Angeles, to study randomized controlled effectiveness trial with regards to patient quality of life of the adoption 15, 000 veterans through telephone screening process. This process is called Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI). California Survey Research Service is the only known company with the compatible software that works with the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, CA. This allows the company to have their programmer survey and track their samples. The company is very close to the VA offices of HSR&D Center of Excellence (COE) were the studies are taking place. By being close in proximity the company shall be able to participate in the supervision process. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quote. However interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement no later than April 5, 2005, and local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
