Description

D-The U. S. Department of Commerce/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/NESDIS intend to negotiate with the Thomson Scientific Inc, Philadelphia, PA on a sole source basis in accordance with the authority of 41 U. S. c. 53 (c) (1), only one responsible source. This requirement is for the Renewal of Web of Science (Science Citation Index Expanded) Year 2005. This database structure contains features of Related Records and KeyWords Plus. Journal coverage for Science Citation Index Expanded is over 5,800 scientific and technical journals from 1945 to the present. The largest multi disciplinary referenced database for scientific literature. This database provides online access to acticles?cited reference, the footnotes from authors? bibliographies. Offerors certain they can meet the requirements are requested to submit in writing an affirmative response and technical capabilities. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability will result in the government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than 15-days after publication of this synopsis. All information in response to this notification must be submitted in writing to the attention of Sally Huber, Contract Specialist. See note 22 applies.
