- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis from Quantum Data, Inc a maximum of 60 Video Pattern Generators (VPG), P/N 802BT-CASS for use with Test Program Sets (TPS) on the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). The VPGs are used with CASS TPSs to test and repair avionics equipment and displays. The VPG must be compatible with each of the associated Operational Test Program Hardware Sets and the CASS station itself. Quantum Data, Inc is the sole designer, developer and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the VPG. The item to be procured is a form, fit and function replacement for the obsolete VPG currently in use with the CASS. Quantum will provide logistics commonality between both old and new VPGs as each will be interchangeable with the other. The Navy has previously procured 65 VPG from Quantum Data, Inc. and Quantum Data has updated the firmware to be compatible with existing CASS TPSs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals must be received within 15 days. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on responses received to this synopsis is solely with the discretion of the Government.
