- VA VISN 22 Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach, CA intends to award a requirements contract for Catered Food Services. In accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Item, FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-26. NAICS Code is 722310. The solicitation will be available on or about April 08, 2005. This procurement is to obtain Catered Food Services for the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr. San Diego, CA 92161. Solicitation shall be posted on or about April 8, 2005. Period of performance shall be from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006 with the Government having the option to exercise four (4) one year renewal periods through June 30, 2010. The Contractor shall provide all meals, management, tools, supplies, equipment, utensils and labor necessary to ensure that catered food services are provided to the VA San Diego Medical Center, (a medical facility located within the VA San Diego Healthcare System), in accordance with maintenance standards established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food Code Standards. Contractor tasks include: Sanitation Requirements, Food Preparation off-site, Delivery of Food, Presentation of food at a designated location at VA San Diego Medical Center, Provision of food clean-up services at the completion of meal times, Managing supplies and equipment needed to provide complete, non-staffed catered meal service. Contractor shall provide VA San Diego Medical Center with sample dinners, prior to contract award. Eligibility for catered food services: Weekend on-call resident catered food service is provided to approximately 13-15 personnel 2-3 days a week. The number of personnel may vary, depending on rotation schedules and resident staffing, but will generally not exceed 20 personnel.
