Description
To enhance testing of advanced weapon systems and to support the size, scale, and scope of training identified in the Joint Vision, the Office of the Secretary of Defense sponsors a series of workshops to facilitate the modernization of Department of Defense test and training range capabilities. Since April 1994, these Common Test and Training Range Architecture (CTTRA) workshops have provided invaluable technical and programmatic direction, improving interoperability and reuse among range systems, facilities, and simulations. The sixteenth CTTRA workshop will be held on 16 - 19 May 2005 in St Louis, MO. This workshop will focus on prioritizing emerging Global Positioning System (GPS) based instrumentation capabilities for potential inclusion in current technology development efforts sponsored by the Central Test and Evaluation Investment Program, or within the Training Transformation initiative. The results of the workshop will be incorporated into a long range GPS-based instrumentation investment roadmap. The CTTRA is not directly related to any current contract requirements; therefore attendance will not be funded by the Government. It will be necessary for each company to fund their participation in this workshop. For more information on the upcoming CTTRA XVI Workshop, visit the website at http://cweb.osd.mil/cttra. The points of contact for the workshop are Ms. Dee Salazar-Beddard, (703) 681-4165 x 113, dee.salazar-beddard.ctr@osd.mil, and Mr. Vince Consentino, ((850) 883-3419, vincent.consentino@eglin.af.mil.
