- This is a Request for Information (RFI). HQ AMC/A34YAS is preparing to acquire air transportation to move passengers and baggage via contractor-furnished, IFR -equipped, multi-engine, turbine-powered aircraft. The contractor?s plane(s) must have the capability to transport at least 135 passengers and baggage (combined total of 230 pounds each) one way in 3.5 hours. The company must be a US FAR certificated Part 121 or 135 air carrier. Flights are between Naval Air Station North Island CA and Naval Auxiliary Landing Field San Clemente CA (176 miles per round trip). Flight time each way is about thirty minutes with ground time also about 30 minutes. Due to space limitations on the ground at the two airports, the minimum aircraft size will be 19 passengers. - Tentative Schedule - (The first number after the day of week indicates the estimated number of passengers carried North Island to San Clemente Island. (COMBINED SINGLE LIMIT LIABILITY?) 9) IF REIMBURSABLES ARE STANDARD PRACTICE, WHAT ITEMS ARE GENERALLY PAID 10) WHAT ARE STANDARD COMMERCIAL PRACTICES IF A CONTRACTOR IS LATE OR FAILS TO PROVIDE ACCEPTABLE SERVICES 11) BRIEFLY DESCRIBE YOUR SECURITY POLICY 12) WHAT INSPECTION METHODS ARE USED TO INSURE SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE This agency has not made a final commitment to procure the stated requirement and this RFI should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of such procurement. This agency is interested in obtaining responses to this RFI from prospective contractors but no contractor shall be reimbursed for providing this information; therefore, the Air Force will accept the requested information in whatever format it is provided. All information provided by the contractor will become property of the Air Force and will not be returned.
