Description
The OCC is seeking small businesses (NAICS Code 561730 at $6.0) that can provide indoor plant and tree maintenance services as detailed below. These services will be for approximately 1000 plants/trees in OCC?s headquarters building in Washington, DC and for about two dozen plants/trees at its Data Center in Landover, MD. There may also be an optional requirement to maintain the exterior plants on the roof at OCC headquarters (to be determined). Interested small businesses may email capability statements and company literature regarding their services and products to Thora.Stanwood@occ.treas.gov by 3:00pm ET, Tuesday, April 5, 2005. Your company must be able to provide/create the following: (1) indoor plant and tree maintenance services, including watering, fertilizing, adherence to an environmentally correct insect and disease control/prevention program, pruning, mulching, dusting/cleaning, and planting and repotting of new and existing stock. (2) the December holiday decorations? theme ... provide (OCC would like to be able to lease decorations), coordinate, set up, maintain, tear down, remove and store the decorations used in the OCC headquarters? facility. (3) plants/trees and containers for purchase. (4) an electronic inventory of the plants and trees. Your company must have the following: (1) the technical and managerial ability to maintain 1000+ live plants/trees at the two facilities. (2) a minimum of five consecutive years of experience in the maintenance and care of live plants (interior and exterior). (3) qualified personnel, equipment (e.g. watering tanks, dusters) and materials (e.g. mulch, fertilizer, soil) to accomplish the maintenance services. (4) maintenance technicians that have at least five years of practical experience in maintaining live plants and in the identification and treatment of pests and diseases. The technicians are required to be Certified Landscape Technicians under the Association of Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) and have qualified as Registered Pesticide Technicians in DC and MD through the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. # # # # #
