- The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 128,960 board feet (1/4-in. international) of standing hardwood sawtimber, and 514 tons of standing hardwood pulpwood on approximately 32 acres at the Raystown Lake Project, Huntington County, P A. Bids shall include the purchase, hauling and placement of 250 tons of 2 A stone to be placed on hauling road. Additionally, approximately 100 tons of shale must be placed at a minimum of 6 inches over existing petroleum lines crossing the haul road. T he total number of items for this sale is one (1). Whole tree chipping is not permitted on this sale. The timber must be harvested between May 25, 2005 and November 15, 2005. The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers on March 31, 2 005 at 10:00 a.m. starting at the Raystown Lake Visitor Center located approximately 4 miles east of Hesston, PA. Further information for inspection of timber shall be made by contacting Mr. Jeff Krause, telephone 814-658-6813 or by email at jeff.krause@u sace.army.mil. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., April 21, 2005, by the Acquisition, Management and Disposal Section, Real Estate Branch, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Jeff Krause, telephone 814-658-6813 at the Raystown Lake Project, Huntington County, PA. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. This timber will be sold by LUMP SUM sale method.
