- NASA, John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC), Stennis Space Center, MS plans on issuing on April 1, 2005 a Concessionaire Agreement hereinafter “Agreement” to operate a quality educational and developmental child development program, including summer camp at the John C. Stennis Space Center, for SSC employees. There is no Agreement posted at this time however SSC is actively seeking written comments, statement of interest, and a statement of the prospective offeror’s capabilities to operate the Stennis Child Development Center. The prospective “To Be Determined Concessionaire” hereinafter “Concessionaire” will operate, independently of a federal agency, a quality educational and developmental childcare program in a government owned facility, with some equipment and services provided, such as utilities, telephone, grounds keeping, janitorial and security check of employees. The operation must comply with all federal and state licensing entities. Prospective offeror’s are requested to provide the aforementioned statement of interest via e-mail not later than April 1, 2005 to the following: James.D.Huk@NASA.GOV This preliminary gathering of information is for planning purposes only, and is subject to the requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Provision 52.215-3 (OCT 1997), entitled “Solicitation for Information and Planning Purposes.” The subject synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the government, nor will the government pay for, or be held liable for any information obtained. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 624410 and $6.0 Million. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about April 1, 2005 with a due date of April 21, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/SSC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=64 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
