Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting for the purchase of a batch weight process control system for its ink rooms at 14th and C Streets, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228. The system will include a central PC Supervisor’s station for downloading formulas, materials, and ladder programs for each of four (4) scales located in different rooms in accordance with the attached requirements for the batch control system. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Delivery terms are FOB Destination to the Washington DC facility. The resulting purchase order shall be Firm Fixed Price. The award shall be made for best value. Quoters shall provide technical literature which shall be evaluated by the Government to determine conformance with the requirements provided herein. If an item does not meet one of the specified features, the quotation must specify that the equipment does perform with regard to the listed feature and offer an opinion as to why the alternative method would be acceptable to the BEP. All interested parties are required to submit a written quotation for consideration by the Agency. Quotations may be submitted on an SF1449, SF18, or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ # 05-0437 number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name with point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, and size status (i.e. small business, disadvantaged, business, or woman owned business). Quotations are due on April 8, 2005 by 4:00PM Eastern Standard Time. Firms may fax their quotations to (202) 874-2200 or e-mail their responses to Donald.Baron@bep.treas.gov . Quotations may be mailed to the BEP Office of Procurement, Attn: Donald Baron, 14th and C Sts, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228-0001. Telephone requests will not be honored. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the solicitation, which, shall be considered by the Agency.
