- Description
- It is the intent of NAVAIR Orlando, Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL, to award a sole source purchase order, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), to New Virtual Imaging Systems (NVIS), 11495 Sunset Hills Road, Suite 202, Reston, VA 20190, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NVIS is a small business. The Government has a requirement for 2 each NVisor SX Head Mounted Displays. The displays must have Dual SXGA microdisplays with 1280x1024 24-bit color pixels per eye and 60 degree diagonal field-of-view. They must be stereoscopic compatible via two independent video inputs and include a user manual and one-year warranty. The requirement also exists for 2 ea foam-filled reusable shipping cases for the NVisor SX. This sole source award is based on NVIS being the only manufacturer with the design, form, fit, and functional characteristics required, as this item was specifically selected for use in interfacing with other device components in the 21H35 trainer.
