Description

Maintenance dredging under this contract will be performed at various locations within the boundaries of the Chesapeake City Anchorage Basin. Dredging will be required to a depth of 10 feet below mean low water (MLW) plus one-foot allowable over dept h, with no side slopes delineated and/or paid for along all channel edges (box cut). Dredging shall not be performed any distance outside of the authorized basin under this contract. The Government-furnished disposal area available for use under this cont ract is Bethel Disposal Area. The completion time for this project is 90 calendar days. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) documents will be available on the Internet Web page on or about 12 April 2005 and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax req uests will be accepted. Contractors shall download this IFB (including drawings) and all amendments (including drawings) from the Internet Web page at the following address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after issue date of the IFB. The official med ia of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web page. All amendments to this IFB will be posted to the Internet Web page at the above address. Hard copies of the amendments will not be furnished. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor the web p age for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractors information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet Web page . Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notification of the IFB and amendments. Contractors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB including any drawings and amendments. Bids will be opened on or about 17 May 2005 at 11:00 A.M. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $250,000.00 to $500,000.00 and bonding is required. All contractors must be registered in the DoDs Central Contract Register (CCR) dat abase before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310(b)) to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
