Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requires a custom high-speed bit stream generator in order to further the aims of the ac Josephson voltage standard in the NIST Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory. This system shall supply a user-defined series of pulses that shall be applied to the Josephson array to produce the desired ac waveform. This bit stream generator shall be an integral part of all future ac Josephson voltage standard systems. The aim of this procurement is to generate a design and prototype that will be tested with the existing ac Josephson voltage standard prototype system. There shall be three reviews of the design with NIST personnel before the final design is prototyped. NIST personnel must approve the design before beginning prototype construction. The completed prototype will be demonstrated at NIST located at 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305. The propose contract is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 335311 and the size standard is 750 employees. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will be provided in response to written or faxed requests received from the requestor. Telephone requests will not be honored. Requests for copies of the solicitation may be faxed to 303-497-3163. Questions must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer by fax or by e-mail.
