- Description
- The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is seeking proposals from licensed, qualified engineering consultants to provide structural engineering and construction documents for animal waste pole-framed buildings and covered concrete slabs with side walls. The proposed structures will provide covered storage for manure during wet weather to prevent manure from washing off site. The buildings will consist of wood framing members with posts embedded into the earth. Floors, if part of the design, will consist of concrete slabs on grade. The designs are to include structural and civil design (no electrical, plumbing, heating or ventilation). Although the buildings are valid agricultural use and are exempt from building permits, they must be designed to meet Oregon State Building Code requirements. All work is to be completed during the period between April 1 and October 31, 2005. This procurement is reserved for small business. Interested vendors should submit two copies of Standard Form 330 (SF-330) on or before 4:00 p.m. local time on April 15, 2005 to: Solicitation No. NRCS-05-OR-008 USDA – NRCS Attn: Christopher E. Martin 101 SW Main St. Suite 1300 Portland, OR 97204-3221 NRCS will select the vendor most qualified for the projects described in this solicitation. The selected vendor will be required to submit firm fixed-price proposals for (1) design and (2) construction management with respect to each proposed structure. Award will be made to the selected firm upon successful negotiation of price. Payment will be made for the design phase upon completion, submittal, and acceptance by NRCS of final design drawings. Payment for the construction management phase will be made upon completion of construction.
