Description

This is a sole source combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items (non-personal services) issued by the 509th Contracting Squadron, Whiteman AFB, Missouri. This document was prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented and in accordance with FAR FAC 2001-24 with additional information included in this notice. The United States Air Force intends to issue a sole-source purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for equipment that is provided by McQuay Factory Service. The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with McQuay Service OEM under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within seven days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. McQuay Service OEM is uniquely qualified to provide the required equipment and services. The key components of this upgrade can only be obtained and installed by a McQuay Service Technician which includes the removal and installation of key control protection devices and McQuay specific Micro Tech control software upgrades which is proprietary only to McQuay Service Technicians. No other company has access to McQuay control software which is required for this upgrade. This is not a Request for Quotation, nor is it an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. All timely responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not it is advantageous to the Government to conduct a competitive procurement; no award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This electronic solicitation is the only solicitation being issued. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation Number is F4E3ZA5033A100. The NAICS code 238220 applies to this solicitation. The size standard is $12,000,000.00. The item description is as follows: Install a condenser Enhancement Kit for McQuay air cooled screw chiller, Model #ALS204A each kit services 1 circuit of a 2 circuit chiller kit components are discharge gas oil separator, oil return and filtration system, control protection devices and special MicroTech control software only offered thru McQuay Service OEM (8 each). Install a Soft-Start Kit for McQuay air cooled screw chiller Model # ALS204A. Each kit services 1 circuit of a 2 circuit chiller kit components are: Soft-Started installed in both circuits, existing mechanical contactor starters are removed, depending on the size, the soft starter kit is placed in the main power panel or in a separate enclosure by the compressor. Also with Delta/Delta started compressor (which we have) will require additional circuit breakers. End Item Description.
