Description
The is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a replacement MRI Chiller located on the roof of Building 203, at the VA Medical Center, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA., prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Because this is a combined synopsis/solicitation this announcement constitutes the only solicitation available. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. Provisions and clauses are incorporated through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-27. The procurement is a 100% small business set aside. The solicitation number for this Request is 261-0123-05. The North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 333415 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. REQUIREMENTS: This solicitation is for the purchase of an MRI Chiller that shall include the follow specifications: Supply (VA shall install) a factory packaged, closed loop chiller with the capacity to remove 170,000 BTU//Hr of heat while re-circulating 100 % water at a flow rate of 45 GPM at 40 PSI based on a 100 F ambient air temperature. Unit shall have an air-cooled condenser, and be of a self-contained weatherproof design for outdoor installation. System shall be a Filtrine, or equal, model PCP-2000G-230-A-WP-RED equipped with a (3) 10 HP scroll compressors, lead/lag/standby copper condenser fins, low flow interlock high temperature interlock low temp interlock disconnect switch 480/60/3 start up, as well as a (2) 2 HP #304 stainless steel pumps, #304 stainless steel tank and stainless steel evaporators, piping and controls for automatic operation. Dual pumps shall be provided each operating at 100% required flow and pressure with automatic backup in the event of failure. The unit will be manufactured by Filtrine Manufacturing of Keene, NH or equal. The refrigerant will be R-507. Chiller will come with a one year warranty on all parts and labor. In addition, the startup of the system shall be included and conducted by a factory authorized service agent. This includes preventative maintenance calls made during the first year of operation. DELIVERIES: Equipment shall be delivered FOB Destination to the VA Medical Center, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121, Attn: Warehouse, Building 203.
