Description

DESC: 1005-01-453-9290, Part Number 6528309, the item to procure is a Cover Assembly used on the M2 .50 Cal Machine Gun. Machined from numerous complex pieces, including the cover which is manufactured from 4150, 6150, 8650 steel per ASTM A331 or A3 22 or malleable iron, pearlitic casting per ASTM A220 Grade L45006. Other alternate materials are ductile iron casting per ASTM A536, Grade 80-55-06 or malleable iron or ductile iron castings per MIL-STD-2157, Class 2, Grade C & D. Size is .966 inches th ick x 3.56 inches wide x 12.58 inches long. Flame or induction hardening required. Phosphate Coating required. Requirements are 800 each, Cover Assembly. The proposed contract will include a 200 percent option. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue dat e is on or about 13 April 2005. This date is just an estimate. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
