Description

Maintenance dredging of the Wilmington Harbor Christina River, Delaware - (a) Dredging will be required to a depth of 35 feet Mean Low Water (MLW) (Christina River Datum) plus 1-foot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Station 0+000 to Station 1+975. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the North Channel edge when required dredging depths exist inside the c hannel along the perimeter of the north edge. (b) Dredging will be required to a depth of 38 feet MLW (Christina River Datum) plus 1-foot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Station 1+975 to Station 6+236. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the north channel edge, north turning basin edges, and entrance widening (flare) from Station 1+975 to Station 6+236, when required dredging depths exist inside the channel and basin, along the perimeter of the aforementioned north limits. (c) No side slopes or end slopes are specified for this contract. (d) Hopper or bucket dredging shall not be permitted under this contract. (e) The Government-furnished disposal area available for use under this contract is Wilmington Harb or North Disposal Area. Solicitation Number W912BU-05-B-0005 will be available on the Internet Web page on or about 12 April 2005. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web page and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be a ccepted. Contractors shall download the Solicitation (including any drawings) and any amendments from the Internet at the following address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the Solicitation. It is the contractors responsibi lity to monitor the web page for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractors information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible for making changes to their user p rofile on the Internet Web page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notification of the Solicitation and any amendments. Contractors are responsible for printing copies of the Solicitation including any drawings and amendments. Bids will be opened on or about 12 May at 11:00 A.M. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 and bonding is required. All contractors must be reg istered in the DoDs Central Contract Register (CCR) database before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
