Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City Regional Office, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Water Education Foundation, Sacramento, CA. The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City, NV, has a requirement for the partially funding of the Water Education Foundation to prepare the following: (Task 1) River Report-identify topics to be covered in River Report; write River Report; manage multi-stakeholder review process of draft River Report; while maintaining editorial control, integrate comments from reviewers as appropriate; produce and distribute River Report to mailing list; design and implement reader-feedback process; make River Report available through the Foundation's web site. Deliverable: Printed and electronic versions of the biannual River Report will be provided to the Bureau of Reclamation by June 30, 2005, and December 31, 2005. They will also be available through the Foundation's website. (Task 2) Colorado River Western Water Issues-identify topics to be covered in Western Water; write Western Water; manage multi-stakeholder review process of draft Western Water; while maintaining editorial control, integrate comments from reviewers as appropriate; produce and distribute Western Water to mailing list; make Western Water available through the Foundation's web site. Deliverable: A printed and electronic version of the Western Water issue will be provided to the Bureau of Reclamation by November 30, 2005. It will also be available through the Foundation's web site. (Task 3) Lower Colorado River Tour-create tour itinerary; announce water tour; produce tour package; compile speakers; make list of participants; provide summary of participant evaluations. Deliverable: Printed versions of Tour Itinerary, Speaker List, Participant List and the Water Tour Brochure will be submitted to the Bureau of Reclamation by April 2005. (Task 4) 2005 Colorado River Symposium-host the symposium; provide the symposium program to the Bureau of Reclamation; transcribe the symposium proceedings; review process by speakers; organize and edit final text into draft proceedings book; manage work of designer and printer to publish book; distribute book to symposium participants and make available through the foundation's catalog and web site; provide the Bureau of Reclamation with distribution list. Deliverable: Printed versions of the Program/Agenda of the Symposium, book of Symposium proceedings, and the distribution list will be made available to the Bureau of Reclamation by March 31, 2006. The River Report, the Western Water Colorado River issue, the Lower Colorado River Tour, and the 2005 Colorado River Symposium are all aspects of the Colorado River Project which is the proprietary intellectual and copyrighted materials from the Foundation. No other entity has access to the foundation of these publications and forums. This work is located in Sacramento, CA and along main stem of the Lower Colorado River. This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is on or about April 6, 2005.
