Description

The National Park Service intends to award a sole source contract to Smith & Loveless, Inc. of Lenexa, Kansas for the purchase of a new Wetwell Mounted Pump Station to replace existing equipment. The proposed equipment shall include 2 sewage suction lift pumps each with the ability to pump 375 GPM @ 120 ft of total head and a suction lift of 13.2 ft at 6800 ft elevation. They shall be above grade sewage pumps with check valves, a common horizontal 6" discharge and attached to a 1" base plate with lifting stancion. There shall be 2 vacuum pumps for priming with mounting shelf and tubing. The duplex control panel shall have NEMA 4 enclousres for wall mount, and including starters, breakers, HOA switches, running time meters, ammeters, phase monitors with dry contacts and high water alarm dry contacts. Electrical service is 3 phase 60 hz 240 volts. There shall be 4 float switches each with a 30 ft. cord and N.O. contacts. Each pump shall have 4X6" suction increasers. This proposed action is for the purchase for which the government intends to solicit and negottiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their written interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competetive proposal, however, all expressions of interest received within 10 calendar days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to thei notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competetive procurement. Any prospective firm must demonstrate the ability to provide the above described equipment and fit it within a confined existing space. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333911 with the estimated price not to exceed $50,000.
