Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply contract to be negotiated on a 100% small business set-aside basis for Underwater Telephone and accessories in support of Naval Submarine Support Center, Silverdale, WA 98315. The Contractor shall provide a compact high-power acoustic underwater telephone for single sideband voice and modulated CW operation. The frequency range shall be 5 to 45 kHz, selectable in 1 Hz increments plus the AN/WQC and ARD-8000 frequencies. EDO Corporation, Salt Lake City, Utah (Electro-Ceramic Products) or equal. Delivery is required to be within 5-6 months after contract award with inspection and acceptance FOB Destination. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 15, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation. This procurement is a set-aside for small business. The solicitation will be issued on or about 31 March 2005 with a closing date of 19 March 2005. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under ?Business Opportunities? under solicitation number ?N00406-05-T-1010?. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror?s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site.
