Description

Project includes construction of Basins 1, 2, & 3 with nine irrigation cells to provide stormwater protection for the adjacent agricultural fields or to store and provide water when needed; five water resource areas to intercept stormwater discharges from the irrigation cells and non-agricultural fields; three siphons to drain water to south of West Feeder Canal, 22 pump stations with capacities ranging from 7 cfs to 256 cfs; a series of culverts in and along the new and existing canals, and other wor ks necessary to mitigate impact of stormwater on existing agricultural operations. Levees associated with Water Resource Area cells typically have height of approximately 3.0 feet and the Irrigation Cell levees have heights of 7 feet.
