Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Portland VA Medical Center intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide for the disposal of hazardous waste, including biomedical waste, pharmaceutical waste and chemotherapy waste located at the Portland VA Medical Center, 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, Oregon 97207 and 1601 E. 4th Plain Blvd., Vancouver, Washington 98662. The solicitation is proposed as Unrestricted under NAICS Code 562112; Size Standard of $10.5 Million Gross Revenue. The requirement shall be a commercial, fixed-price services-type contract. This is a pre-solicitation notice, in accordance with the requirements of FAR 5.203(a)(1). The solicitation package will be released on or about 21 April 2005. The contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, and licenses necessary to perform the transport of patients confined to wheelchairs. The period of performance will be one base period consisting of date of award through 31 May 2006, and three additional one-year options. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial procurement using FAR parts 12 and 15. Award will be made to that proposal which is most advantageous to the Government taking into consideration price, technical factors, and past performance.
