Description
The following are approved sources for this procurement: Pratt & Whitney East Hartford, CT, Tri-Industries Terre Haute, IN, Dynamic Gunver Technologies Manchester, CT, Delta Industries East Granby, CT NOUN: Synchronizing Ring NSN: 2840-01-325-8744NZ P/N: 4074229-01 APPLICABLE TO: F100 PW 100/200/220/229 ENGINE QTY: 50 EA PREDOMINATE MATERIAL: AMS 4919 Titanium Alloy FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: The synchronizing ring controls the convergent segments by a series of interconnected connecting links. Actuators move the synch ring forward and rearward which increases and decreases nozzle throat area. REQURED DELIVERY DATE: September 2005 ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: 29 April 2005. No solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government furnished drawings will not be provided with the solicitation. Reference AFMCFARs 5309.206-1(e)(1), the following notes apply to the procurement: Note A, Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Note D, the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or Potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
