Description
This is an unrestricted acquisition. The USAFA Athletic Department through the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic [10MDG/SGOSO USAFA CO] has the following requirement: ENCORE-CE - PREMIER ENCORE - TOUCH SCREEN Complete Surgical mici C-arm Imaging System including: Dual mode, 4 inch and 6 inch Cesium Iodide Intensifier, Power Range: 40-75 KVp, and 20-100 micro Amps, Administrative Audit Function: Run Meters, 50 separate passwords, system activity, 45 micron focal spot, Laser pointer included, Center mounted, multi-articulated, locking Iso-C arm, CD-R/W storage, 3.5 inch Floppy Disk Drive, Dual high intensity monitors, 4 image buffer and right screen 4-image mosaic, AOI [Area of Interest] function, Automatic Dose Rate, Noise suppression and edge enhancement, Auto-calibration, 2,000 image storage system, Alphanumeric keyboard, Triple function foot switch, full assembly and one day on-site, in-service training, Height: 60 inches, Width: 36 inches, Depth: 32 inches, Weight: 500 pounds, 12 month [1 year] warranty including all parts and labor, and PREM-PRT-6X8-TP - PRINTER, 6X8, THERMAL. This medical product will accommodate the 10th MDG Orthopedic Sports Medicine physicians with patient care. The device will assist during all home NCAA Football games to accommodate home and visiting players. The real time diagnosis will assist field physicians with a professional diagnonsis. This device emits a continuous beam of X-rays in order to view an object in what is called "real time". The X-rays pass through the object being observed and cast a shadow of that object on a detector screen. The screen material is flourescent and converts the X-rays to a light image of the object in the beam. An image intensifier amplifies the image several thousand times in order to produce a likeness bright enough to be viewed by a video camera and displayed on a video monitor. This device has a password protected system activation within device for security.
