Description

THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO THE PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FA7000-05-R-0048. PLEASE NOTE: SSK INDUSTRIES IS NOT THE MANUFACTURER OF THE CYPRES-2 PARACHUTE AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION DEVICE; HOWEVER THEY ARE THE ONLY U.S. DISTRIBUTOR THAT PERFORMS THE TESTS FOR THE 4/8 MAINTENANCE CHECKS WHICH IS A REQUIREMENT OF THIS ACQUISITION. This is a 100% small business set-aside. This is a name brand acquisition only: CYPRES-2 IS THE ONLY PRODUCT LINE that can meet the Government's and USAFA's strict regulations [FAA]. However, all small business distributors that are capable of meeting the quantity and delivery requirements are invited to submit a quote. The 98th Flying Training Squadron has a requirement for the 2005 Basic Free Fall Parachute Program: CYPRES-2 Parachute Automatic Activation Device, One Pin Expert. CYPRES-2 4/8 Year Maintenance Contract Qty: 300 Ea Delivery: 100 Ea to be delivered by May 2005 Delivery: Remaining Qty of 200 TBD Partial shipments are authorized. FOB Destination Net 30 Days Please provide CCR Cage Code, Business Size, DUNS #, online Reps and Certs [http://orca.bpn.gov/publicsearch.aspx]. ADDITIONALLY, A BUY AMERICAN CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED IAW DFARS 252.212-7001. A LETTER RFP WILL BE SENT TO ALL SMALL BUSINESS DISTRIBUTORS WHO CAN COMPLY WITH THE GOVERNMENT'S REQUIREMENT VIA EMAIL WITH ALL REQUIRED FAR/DFAR CLAUSES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS ACQUISITION.
