This is a sources sought for a four day staff ride event. The Staff rides are used for professional development. The applicable NAICS is 713990; the applicable SIC is 7999;the FSC is G003. This event contains eight line items: Each CLIN will consist of: CLIN 0001: Date: 20-23 JUN 05 QTY 30 people Price includes horse rental, land access fees, Crow Cultural Instruction, firewood and training aids, artifacts and display equipment, camp utilities and labor. CLIN 0008 Date: 16-19 AUG 05 QTY 30 people Price includes horse rental, land access fees, Crow Cultural Instruction, firewood and training aids, artifacts and display equipment, camp utilities and labor. The contractor shall provide commonly accepted outfitter services of a quality equal to or superior to that customarily offered to members of the public. The contractor may subcontract this work as needed to provide weapons training, and Crow Indian Cultur e Instructors. The staff ride is a four day event and are used for professional development. The contractor will assist in developing, executing, and assessing a Staff Ride Program. Participate in In Process Reviews (IPR). We estimate one IPR per month , each approximately one hour in duration (estimate a total of 8 IPRs). Following the issuance of a delivery order (DO), prepare a Delivery Order Execution Plan (DOEP), which provides the interfaces, coordination, and timelines for conducting each staff r ide. Sample is attached. Develop, prepare and coordinate the battlefield tour. This includes, but is not limited to, renting horses, providing artifacts and supporting instructional equipment and materials, coordinating for land use in and around the batt lefield site, and arranging for contractor personnel travel services (air and ground transportation, lodging, and food). Tour program shall include Crow Cultural Instruction. This program will include use and training with period weapons. Perform other planning and coordination tasks that may be determined as required by the Contracting Officer. This will not be more than 16 hours per Staff Ride. The contractor shall have a broad knowledge of outfitting practices and procedures. Work requires consid erable sta nding, walking, bending, and stooping. Requires good eyesight and hearing to see, hear and monitor participant activities, observe safety violations, and correct deficiencies. The contractor must be able to relate and work with students of all ages, and convey the significant events, their impact and consequences.
