Description

POINT OF CONTACT FOR THIS PROJECT IS MR. ALLEN HARRISON, FAX: 251-694-3626. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. In general, the work shall consist of the following: Design and construct new helicopter maintenance hangar including administrative areas and shops. Wide span metal framed structure. Extensive sitework including n ew apron/tow-way paving and demolition of existing hangar. Phasing required to maintain current operations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236210. Estimated cost range of the project is from $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or around 19 April 2005. Mr. Gene Curtis is Contracting Officer for this project. Rucker, Alabama. The purpose of the conference is to familiarize the bidders with the scope of work, address bidders' questions concerning the project, participate in a site visit to beco me familiar with the existing site conditions, and familiarize the bidders with the Best Value process. Attendance at the conference is strongly recommended. Minutes of the pre-proposal conference will be prepared by the Government and placed on the inte rnet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil/ . Tour of the site will follow the conference. The duration of the conference and tour will be approximately one (1) day. It is requested that a representative of each offeror attend the pre-proposal conference. Number of attendees are limited to four (4) from each firm. Names and titles of individuals with complete mailing address from each company of each representative and phone numbers who will attend the conference should reach the following addressee no la ter than five (5) working days prior to the conference. Failure to do so shall not relieve offerors from responsibility for estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. The Government shall assume no responsibility for any understandin g or representations concerning conditions made by any of its officers or agents prior to the execution of the contract, unless included in the Request For Proposals, the specifications, or related documents.
