The system shall be able operate to 12.5 tons, have plus or minus 1 percent of full load accuracy and have readout to 0.010 ton or 100 pounds, and operate in temperatures to 140 degrees F. The load sensing equipment shall be tested at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of capacity, calibrated, and adjusted to be within the manufacturer's published accuracy tolerances. The hoist shall be overload tested (not to exceed 125%) for load certification due to the replacement of the load cell. If the system does not meet the accuracy tolerance requirements it shall be repaired or replaced and retested until the accuracy requirements are met. The Contractor shall provide and install an LED type indicator light, that is visible from the draft tube gate operating deck below the hoist in bright sunlight, to show that the overload protector has been activated.
