- Description
- The purpose of this amendment to the COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION is to publish questions and answers received to date and EXTEND THE CLOSING DATE TO APRIL 25, 2005. Offerors may submit multiple quotes and alternate proposals. All other terms and conditions remain the same. QUESTION ONE: What is the final destination of the moths? ANSWER ONE: The moths destined for Bakersfield, California are delivered to Shafter, California ? Minter Field. The moths destined for El Paso, Texas are delivered to Fabens, Texas 50 miles east of El Paso. A smaller aircraft could land at these airstrips and alleviate the need for a final pickup and delivery by USDA personnel. QUESTION TWO: What is the time frame for the delivery of the moths to the final destination? ANSWER TWO: We would like the moths on the ground in Fabens, Texas between 4 AM and 5 AM each day. We are flexible about the delivery time for the moths sent to California however; they must be in Shafter, California no later than 3:00 PM each day. QUESTION THREE: Is there another airstrip/airport other than Sky Harbor close to the USDA APHIS Bollworm Rearing Facility that could be used in the Phoenix area? ANSWER THREE: Yes. Falcon Field, Mesa, Arizona
