Description

In accordance with OMB Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003) The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is publicly announcing the start of a Streamline Competition for Information Security. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Dr. Ed Sontag, Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Department of Health and Human Services. The Contracting Officers (CO) are Patricia Pemberton and Lisa Schneider. The projected end date of the Competition is June 28, 2005. The functions at NIH include but are not limited to Policy Oversight, support in the development security plans, implementation of new technologies, techniques, and procedures. Information Technology Security Implementation and Management, conduct periodic risk assessments, support in the creation of and implementation of corrective action plans, perform and security activities. These services are currently provided by two Federal Government employees. NIH will issue another notice to announce the decision of the cost comparison on or about July 5, 2005. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME
